What a shop needs
Checkout pages cannot be cached like blog posts, so raw server speed matters more than for a brochure site. Look for PHP workers or CPU you can add, daily backups you can restore yourself, and staging so you can test a plugin update before customers see it.
Where shops overspend
Shared plans look cheap until the shop grows past their limits. A managed WordPress or managed cloud plan costs more on day one, but it is usually the last move you need for a long time.
